Do not mix Alkaline ,Standard(carbon-Zinc) or Rechargeable (Nickel Cadmium) or (Nickel Metal hydride) batteries; install only new batteries of the same type in your candle. For Optimal efficiency and prolonged candle life , we suggest using alkaline batteries. Remove the battery compartment lid; insert alkaline batteries as indicated on the candle bottom/battery compartment. Replace and Close the battery compartment lid, It is advisable to Place the candle on a soft surface to support the candle when installing or changing batteries. Continuous flickering flame indicates batteries need to be changed.
